OS X Lion Up to Date Program- How it works

Qualifying purchases on or after July 21, 2011

Customers who purchase a qualifying new Mac Computer or an Apple Certified Refurbished computer from the Apple Online Store on or after July 21, 2011 that does not include OS X Lion can upgrade to OS X Lion for free.

Terms and Conditions for all Up-to-Date Offers

OS X Lion Up-To-Date Program 2 (purchase qualifying system on or after July 21, 2011. Must submit within 30 days of purchase of qualifying system).

This program entitles the purchaser of a qualifying product purchased on or after July 21, 2011, to upgrade to OS X Lion.

  • OS X updates, which may currently be downloaded from www.apple.com or through Software Update, are not included in this program.
  • To receive your OS X Lion upgrade, you must complete the order form and provide an electronic copy of a dated, itemized sales receipt indicating the marketing part number(s) of the qualifying product(s) purchased. Order acknowledgments, packing slips, and purchase order copies are not valid.
  • Completed order form and dated, itemized sales receipt must be emailed within 30 days of product purchase to qualify for this program.
  • This offer is good only in the United States (50 states and the District of Columbia) and Canada, and valid only in accordance with the terms set forth in this document.
  • Void where prohibited by law or where otherwise restricted.
  • Upon receipt of your completed order form and proof of purchase, a content code for OS X Lion, redeemable on the Mac App Store, will be emailed within 24 hours of order qualification.
